Dumb question about car seats....
Where exactly do you put your car seat? Next to the door or in the middle. I dont have side airbags so im not sure how to put it in. Sorry for such a dumb question!!!!!

Mine is behind the passenger seat - we don't have side air bags either.
But the seat doesn't fit well in the middle

We had it on the passenger side for the past 8 months and we just switched it to the middle this weekend and it fits in the car so much better. The infant carrier did not fit well in the middle at all.

I have my infant seat behind the passenger seat. It just didn't seem very sturdy in the middle. Also, the LATCH hooks are situated for the seat to be on one of the sides rather than in the middle. The trooper who installed the seat for me said that some parents use one hook from each side and put the seat in the middle but that's really not how the system was designed to be used. When we switch to the regular car seat (soon) I guess I'll have to see where it fits best. My inclination is to keep it on the side because it works for me and makes putting her in and out much easier. I can't imagine having to climb into the middle of the seat everytime I had to put her into the car.

Until Nate was 15 months we had his seat in the middle. As he got bigger it got to be more of a hassle to strap him in with the carseat in the middle.
