Powder Formula and Playtex Drop Ins

I started supplementing formula to my breastfed son a few weeks ago... I just noticed that the 8 oz. drop ins liners don't have room for the powder formula because the 8 oz. mark (there is no mark actually) is the very top of the liner.

DS is only drinking 5 oz right now, but I'm wondering how I can use these liners with powder formula when he's drinking 8 oz.

Does anyone use powder formula with these liners and how do you do it?

Thanks!

I put the powder in, fill the water about 6 oz., shake it well and then top off with more water.

Re: Powder Formula and Playtex Drop Ins

I put the powder in then measure 8 ounces of water in a measuring cup and fill it up. The markings on the bottle aren't that accurate and I've found that if you fill it right up to the appropriate ounces line, it's more than it says. I also use the soft liners though, so I think there is more room in those.
