Not the best pic...and since taking this pic, I've added large clusters of bows...looks soooo cute.
I do an all gold and cream tree....80% Lenox ornaments.
I hang the ribbon vertically using floral wire at the top, then I puff it out a little, then wrap around a branch, go down more- puff it out a little, wrap around another branch, and so on.

it has a lot of pinks in it. It has white lights and some years I put ribbon on it. But I skipped it this year. Image Attachment(s):

This year, mostly silver and reds. The bow wasn't as long as I thought so you it didn't drape on the sides as much as I wanted it to.

This was last year. I am decorating my tree today so I will try to post new pics today. I have it in a new spot and plan to do it a bit differently.

love christmas time and our tree
our apartment is black / grey/ white with touches of fire engine red, so it's only fitting that our tree be red / white / silver to match everything else...
here's some inspiration to do something different.... we have some unique stuff on our tree
we always have:
heart and snowman gift boxes hanging from the tree (filled with gifts for the family)
food (chocolate nonpariel rings hung on the tree with ribbon) guests at new years are invited to 'eat the tree'!
velvet and silver wire ribbon in lieu of a garland

I'm doing my tree today but I'll post all of the pics I have on this computer from past years. I have done the verticle ribbon forever, I have short pieces of floral wire tied around the ends of the ribbon & I wrap it aroung the top branches of the tree. Then I use big bows.

my blue & silver tree I did in our basement in addition to the main tree-I don't do it anymore
I just realized I didn't do the verticle ribbons the last few years.

I don't do vertical ribbons. I bought a ton of fake gold and burgundy flowers from Michaels a few years ago and I stick them in the tree everywhere...I think it looks really nice. Image Attachment(s):

Here's our tree this year. We usually have a red and gold theme on the tree. We have some filler ornaments and have made it a tradition to buy each other one ornament a year to start buildling up some special ones

sooooo pretty im living vicariously through all of u right now not in our house yet while we're working on it and the apt is floor to ceiling packed with boxes for the move soooooooooooooo there is absolutely no place to put our tree
