A light stain if it's a boy. Antique white or cream if it's a girl.

I wanted to do a dark mahogany but the armoire I already have that is dark wood wouldn't fit into the room through the door (old house with narrow doors.) So I have another armoire in off-white that does fit and that's the color we're going with.

Otherwise we would have gone with natural color wood.
Both for either boy or girl.

I answered white, but it's really not a bright white. It's more of an antiquey-stain white, if that makes any sense.

We went with Cherry wood (when we thought it was a girl) Glad we made that choice because it's definitely what I want with my
