(w/pics) dark furniture with gold bedspread -- what color walls?

What color should be paint our bedroom? Our comforter set's completely gold on gold... it's really pretty, the room looks elegant because the furniture is really deep.... what color should w epaint our new bedroom? my mom's a faux finisher so i'll probably do a faux or accent wall, but Im trying to think of a good color.... pictures would help! :)

WE have that color scheme in our master bedroom and we have light beige walls and light beige carpet. It looks nice together, very soothing.

here are pictures of the room in our apartment.... the walls are navajo white...i thought maybe red or something would add a punch of color but i dont want it to look dumb... thoughts?

I would one of two ways - a light tan color on the walls, or a deep red color to accent the dark furniture and gold on the bed.

I would say a light beige color unless you consider changing the curtains to something that will incorporate the color of your beding with another color that you could pick up with wall color.

how cool we have the same furniture!
I have a red coverlet on my bed. I think I red accent wall behind the bed and maybe tan for the other walls. Or may be half and half with a chair rails or do you only do that in dining rooms?

I think a tonal color like restoration hardware saffron might look nice, or a lighter golden beige color, pratt & lambert pastry is beautiful.

I had a red bedroom in my townhouse.
Everyone loved it & it was pretty but I have to say I think the red walls made me sleep weird. I was always restless after I painted.
The accent wall was Behr Opera red, the other three walls were Behr Dijon gold. My bedding was red & gold & had curtains something like yours. Unfortunatly the only pic I have online is this one(please ignore my friend sitting on my bed)

In our guest room I have dark wood (browns though, not black) and we painted the walls BM Cement Gray and I plan on using straw or wheat colored bedding with red accents. I drew my inspiration from a Pottery Barn catalogue photo:
