I'm trying to cut some names off of our extensive name list for a  .
Which name do you like??

or
-- Mila (pronounced Mee-la)

as you know me - i'm honest (sometimes a little TOO honest)....
i'm not a huge fan of either. I am IN LOVE with my SIL's name for her daughter (though she's team green and not on this site) of Lila...LOVE IT so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lola brings to mind someone from the 50's - i don't know why....i'm weird though

Don't want to offend anyone but Lola makes me think of Lolita... Not good.
Mila makes me think of Mila Jovoavich and she is very pretty

OMG Jess that's so funny that you posted that because Lila is actually one of my number one names. DH really doesn't like it though so I'm trying to get past it. LOL
I talk to him about you (only good things of course) so maybe if he knows you like it too, he'll give the name a second chance. lol

You could try spelling Lyla maybe - that may be a better spelling for him!

I love Mila .......
I never liked Lola for a person - so you can't go by me for that one. My Yorkie is named Lola.
I DO love Layla and Lila though .......

I think Mila is cute. When I hear the name Lola I think of either song...
Lola - by the Kinks about the Transvestite
or... Her Name is Lola... she was a showgirl.
either one isn't the best to be associated with. Sorry... JMO

To be honest.....I'm not a fan of either. I think Mila is the lesser of the two evils, but I also think it would be mis-pronounced quite often (M-eye-la, instead of Mee-la).
I do, however, love Lila--as a PP said.

Unfortunately, both my sister and my BIL both have dogs named Lola- so maybe that is a popular dog name as well.  They didn't even know eachother's dog's name so it may just be popular among dog owners currently. Good reason to avoid for now.
I really like Mila though!
