Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

Just want to hear some inspirational stories.

I have yet to receive an obvious sign from my dad, just small things here and there that I think are from him.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

Well we think it was DH's father who was celebrating with us when my parents had a little surprise engagement party for us. We got engaged in FL and when we came back to NY my mom had friends and relatives over her house....later we found out that 3 champagne bottles that were sealed closed popped back to back, so we still say that he was there popping the champagne.

Also, when my moms uncle passed away, we went to my moms aunts house to give our condolences and the lights kept dimming and going back to normal, kinda freaked me out.

Not a sign persay... but a short while after my DH's grandmother passed away, I happened to be looking at google satellite images and for some reason decided to look at her house and the pic happened to be taken while she was sitting outside! Fast forward to a few yrs later, my DH's brother went to a psychic medium and it was brought up that a sister/aunt saw his grandmother after she passed... I totally think the medium was referring to me being the sister in law who saw her in that google image! And not to mention, alot of other things that was said had so much meaning for my BIL... very interesting stuff!

8 years ago, my Nan passed away in her home. My whole family was there, but at this exact moment, my brother and I were the only ones in the house.

This was within 30-60 minutes after she passed away. She always had this little ceramic clown that I loved. It played music, but it had to be wound from the bottom in order for it to play. There were no switches/electric/whatever. All of a sudden, the lights flickered on and off in the house, and the clown started playing by itself.

My Nan gave that same brother a bottle of holy water. It's in in a sealed bottle in his room. Every since she passed away, the water level will go all the way down and then fill back up by itself.

ETA: I've also gone to two mediums who have relayed impossible-for-anyone-to-know details to me about both my and DH's families.

My mom and Aunt went to see John Edwards, the pyschic. Hoping to hear from my dad, or grandparents who passed away.

Unfortunately they weren't picked, but John Edwards made numerous comments about how the deceased will show you signs of there existence if you just pay attention.

The day after the show my Aunt went to work (a part of her job is cataloging books in a library). One of the books she cataloged had the call number 5917882 in that exact order. That number, in that order, was my grandparents phone number for 30 yrs!

My mom passed away 15 years ago. Me and my twin sister are always getting signs from her. She passed away from breast cancer so me and my sister go every year for mammo/sonos. Last year i had to go for a biopsy. I was beyond scared my sister told me "dont be scared" mom told you are going to be fine. I said "what??" she said she I asked her for a sign that everything will be okay and she came to me in the form of a butterfly sat right on my hand and flew away. This same butterfly (or type at least LOL) has always come to my sister when she asks my mom for a sign.

I have a another story. My moms name was Eileen. I was going to a wedding not so long ago. I went alone my dh couldnt come. I am terrible with directions i thought i knew where to go but of course got lost. It was raining very bad i could hardly see out of my window. In tears at this point i say mom please give me a sign everything will be okay and im going in the right direction. I pull up to a red light and the person in front of me their licensce plate was EILEEN. I got chills up and down my body. after that i pulled into a gas station and asked them where the reception hall was and they said oh your one block away. I know she truly helped me that night and she is always with me.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

I talk to my brother every day, he passed away 8 yrs ago. When he first passed I used to tell him how we will always be sibling and my love for him was infinite. After a while, I started seeing things in the shape of infinity bands. Not just ropes or rubber bands but random things. Is it possible that these were just things that I was looking too much into? Its possible but, the main point is that it always caught my eye and gave me comfort that "he" was there.

The 1st Father's Day after my brother passed, I was driving to my dads house to celebrate w/him. I was talking to my brother asking him to stay w/my dad b/c he was going to need him, I knew it was going to be a VERY difficult day for him. Well I flipped the radio station right after I said that & my brothers Wedding Song came on, its a very uncommon song. I burst out in tears and when the song was over. I changed the station on again and it began on the new channel.

There have been dreams, "feelings", etc. My suggestion is to keep yourself open for just just dont search for it....yes, I know, easier said than done. When you are ready, I would also suggest visiting a medium or psychic. I did a number of times and it was a great source of comfort.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

WOW! These are some amazing stories! I think you have to be a believer that you will see loved ones when we all reach heaven. I have a few to share...these all happened to my sister!!

My Grandfather passed away 2 years ago in his home. My sister was recently visiting my grandma for a week. She got up to go to the bathroom at 3am when she came back into the bedroom she saw a figure standing in front of the dresser..she thought it was my grandmother praying (She does that allot) when she got into bed she then saw my grandmother fast asleep in bed! I think that is more errie than strange!!!

My parents' china closet doors were rattling/ shaking for like a min. My dad had no idea why and then it occured to him..the urn with my grandfather's ashes are in that closet!!!! Also that same day my sister had gotten up really early for work and found all the cabinet draws open in the kitchen...something right out of Poltergeist!!!!!!Chat Icon

My grandmother was in a nursing home and about to pass away. My aunt and father were sitting around her bed and my aunt was crying hysterically as my grandmother passed. My aunt said through her sobs "mom, please give us a sign that you've been reunited with daddy in heaven". At that moment, the musicians who were playing in the common room started playing my grandparents' wedding song from 60 years ago. Chat Icon

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

I'm not so sure this is a sign... but I lost a 2nd trimester pregnancy and this week is the anniversary of when we lost him. Well, last night I was rummaging through some papers, and I found 2 receipts- One was from the appt where we found out we were losing him and one was from the appt where he was conceived (IUI). I'm not so sure that means anything, I'm sure it was purely coincidental.... but weird nonetheless......

That just made me cry. Chat Icon I don't even remember telling you that.

It's so hard to tell if they really are signs, or just a coincidence that I want to believe is a sign.

Thank you to everyone for sharing your stories. Some of them are really great! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Not obvious signs but to me there are. My father passed a year or ago. The weekend after, I took my dd to the park and she was on her tricycle pedaling around. My DS was on the playground with my DH. Just as I was passing the ball field, walking behind home plate, the umpire yells out "STRIKEEEE"...it was my father's voice and his exact inflection and the way he would hold it.

I can also smell him sometimes when I walk past some of the pieces that were given to me.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

Dh's mom passed before we met. We knew from our first date that we were going to get married. After just a few weeks, DH went to get my e-ring (without me knowing) He figured he'd wait at least 4-6 months before he asked me, but he knew he wanted to ask. 1 week after he ordered it at the jewlers, the jewler called and said it had come in early, even though it wasn't supposed to ready for at least another week. He realized it was his mom's birthday and that it was sign from her that she approved of us getting married & he should propose. He proposed that day, even though he couldn't do it the way he originally planned to.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

My beloved grandmother passed away in 1998. I went to her house almost every single Saturday my entire life and we spoke on the phone for hours every week. We were really close. She was a collector of many things but her favorite things were her Hummel figurines. They are not my style but I'm honored to have them because they were hers.
A few years ago DH built a new craft room for me & it occured to me that some of the hummels were crafty, like a girl knitting or painting. So I moved several of them to this new room in my house. I have a crafting light that you have to touch and hold the button to turn on. Its always plugged in but not in an outlet that turns on with a wall switch and its really tucked away on my sewing bench at the back of the room.

The day after I put the hummels in that room I came home from work and it was a little dark & I noticed that special light was on in the room when I pulled in the driveway. DH was already home so I asked him if he went upstairs to admire how nice the room looked and he said he hadn't been upstairs yet.
There is no way that light was on before I went to work & DH didn't turn it on. I know my gram wanted me to know she was happy the hummels were out on display!

She also loved Cardinals and I've always had a pair of cardinals living in my yard since she passed away. I know that may seem really common, but I know its her.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

My papa passed away almost 2 years ago. He was such a great listener and such a simple man, he had the ability to put all of the things we see as "important" in perspective for me when I was complaining. For example, if I was complaining about school, he would remind me that I chose to go to school and wanted to graduate and I could either deal with it or not go, but it was by choice. Or if I was complaining about my father, he would say, but you love him and he wont change so why worry? So anyways, one night soon after he passed, I got into a huge fight with FH (at the time) and I was crying in our room while DH was already sleeping. It was pitch dark in the room and I was thinking, I just wish my papa was there to talk to me and let me know that this was so simple of an argument to solve. So I thought in my head, I know you're here but I wish I knew. With that thought, my cellphone lit up on my nightstand and remained lit until I walked over to hit the button to turn it off. I don't know, it could have been nothing but to me, it was a sign that he was there and to remind me how ridiculous I was for being so upset over something so little.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

Something prompted me to find my DS baby pictures which were packed away in the bsmt (we moved recently). I was going through them laughing and reminiscing.. then out of no where I pulled out a pic of my dear uncle who passed in '01 and who my son is named after. So weird bc I didn't think I even had that pic and I always pray for him to watch over my boy. Could def be coincidental but still makes me smile.

Re: Please share your signs from loved ones in Heaven.

September 17th will be 7 years that my mom is gone.
Everyonce in a while I will catch a whiff of her Chanel #5. Makes me feel safe.
Sometimes I find dimes in weird places, or where I know I didn't see one earlier. The one standing on end on the ironing board freaked me out a bit.

I do miss feeling her, like the touch of her hand on my cheek. She would do this for about 6 months after she died.
Maybe that's why I associate butterflies with my mom - twice I've had a butterfly land on me.

On mine and DH's 4 year anniversary, i went onto pandora to see if our wedding song would come on. The second i opened Pandora, i didn't even have to log in and all of a sudden, our wedding song just started playing. DH says it was my mom wishing us a happy anniversary. Not sure if that's "a sign" or just a coincedence (SP?) but DH says it was a sign.

Butterflies and Ladybugs!

When I lived home, my mom was so excited to have a butterfly bush by the pool. She would sit out there every afternoon with her iced coffee and just wait and watch these beautiful butterflies come to our yard (continued for years after I moved out as well).
My mom passed away in 2008 and everytime I see a butterfly, I know it's her. They like to "show up" in my yard as my kids play in their kiddie pool.

This past winter, we had ladybugs in our masterbath. I was shocked. Ladybugs in the winter? I left them alone and would say "Hi Mom" everytime I walked in.

Another: My gram passed away 3 weeks before my mom.
At my grams funeral, it was a GORGEOUS day. We are all at the cemetary saying our final prayers. At the end of the prayer, the sun BURST through the clouds and a white bird (probably a seagull) flew over our heads. I turn to my uncle, he turns to me and at the same time we say "That's a sign, she's OK now"! Chat Icon
