People that have or sell life insurance please help...
We have an agent coming to the house today but he needs so much stuff.
He needs homeowners, car insurance, all CC bills, a lot of info from DH's union, etc.
Does that sound normal?

We had someone come to the house last week and he asked for nothing.
But maybe its because we also have our car and homeowners with them. 
But still, he didn't ask for bills, no union info.....

Yes.
They want to know all of your debt and expenses adn they will want to know what your income and DH's income is so they can figure how much insurance you would each need to cover expenses should one of you die. They will also ask you how many years you would want to be able to live on the life insurance, would you want your mortgage paid in full, etc.

Yes.

what a complete pain!!!!!!!! I might cancel tonight. I have no desire to do this tonight.

DH got life insurance and when the person came to the house it was only to take blood and have DH sign some papers.

I just told them I want a small policy to cover certain things- I asked for different amounts vs premiums and picked me own- I didn't let them make that determination AND I didn't show them anything.

That wasn't an agent...that was the medical for see if and at what level you qualify.

I did everything on the phone and knew how much I needed and what I needed. I woudln't show any agent all that stuff.

All paper work was faxed over or done over the phone.
The only person who came to the house was for medical. She took our blood pressure, height, weight and blood sample.
