Since I'm somewhat familar on this subject, I just wanted to add some things that might help.

A lot of you mentioned that you have life insurance through work which is great. However, you should consider getting yourselves an individual policy owned by you. Life insurance through work usually terminates when you end your employment - you can't take it with you. Most have a conversion feature but you are converted as a "standard smoker" at best.

As far as buying it, I would suggest you look in to whoever you use for your other insurance needs - like auto or homeowners. Sometimes you can get a discount for having multiple products. If you don't want to do this, ask for referrals from your friends, parents, bosses, ect...someone will use an accountant or financial advisor they trust that has an experienced insurance agent. It's important to use someone that has been in the business for awhile.
