Past due girls

When are your dr. appointments?
My last visit was at 39 weeks 5 days and my next isn't until 41 weeks (I will have the biophysical profile done). I have been told by 3 friends that I should be going in sooner than this...
Should I call and try to get in earlier?
I have no reason for concern - I feel fine and the baby is moving a lot.

That sounds about right. I think once I hit 41 weeks I then went pretty often.

Once you have the biophysical done - if you don't have enough fluid - they may have you come back the next day - or the day after. I had low fluid levels so try and drink as much water as you can! I was 12 days late in total.

Have they done a growth sono recently? I am only asking because you are carrying exactly how I was - all belly - and Jack was 9lbs 14ozs. Two days before he was born they said he was no more than 9 lbs and the tech said "She is never wrong" I'm curious to hear how big they think your baby is as of right now!

With DD, i hit the 40 week mark on a tuesday, i went back on thursday, then monday, then tuesday night i went into the hospital.

today is my due date...i'm going to the doctor later today, i think they are going to hook me up to fetal monitor and give me a sono to make sure all is ok. Plus i'll get another internall.

I keep having false labor, and I lost my mucus plus (sorry for TMI).....

You sound much more patient than i am..i'm getting really scared now and very anxious.

I had an internal at 36.5 weeks. They wouldn't say if I was dilated or not.
My last sono was the Level 2 (& elective 3D sono at 28 weeks).
They have not estimated the baby's weight.

I know unless something was wrong my midwives saw you weekly even if you we're past due. I was going 2x a week when I was past due with DD because of my BP.
I think you know your body and your baby and if you're concerned you would call and they would get you in.

Once I hit my due date, I went every 2-3 days. Then at 41 weeks I had a sono.

I went at 39 wks 5 days too (it fell on a Friday) and they had me come in the following Monday, 40 weeks. I went back in on Thursday and was scheduled for an induction the following Monday which would have been 41 weeks. I was fine, baby was moving, but my Dr said they don't like you going past 41 weeks. I ended up going into labor on my own the next day, Friday and 28 hours later I had DS.

My due date is tomorrow but nothing is happening.

I had a Dr's appt and another growth sono yesterday. Baby is measuring 8lbs 11oz.

I go for a non stress test and a bio physical profile on Friday.

Next Wednesday (41 weeks) I have another Doctors appt and another non stress test and bio physical profile.

If nothing happens by the end of next week, induction is scheduled for Friday 5/30.

I was 9 days late with DS. After my due date, my dr had me coming in every 2 days.

When I was overdue
I was going every 2-3 days.
They were monitoring me and the baby.
I had (I believe) 2 sonograms from 40 weeks to 42 weeks (yes - 42 weeks)

If you feel like you should go, I would call them and tell them that you would like another appt. I think I would feel more comfortable going and making sure you are being monitored.

I had an appointment at 39 weeks 1 day and scheduled my next appointment for my actual due date. They wanted to make it for 2 days after but I would have gone crazy if I didn't know how far along I was ON my due date. I then had an appointment 2 days later on a wednesday...scheduled an induction for sunday night but thankfully went in labor thursday morning.

So it seems like most people do not wait til 41 weeks... since I see midwives maybe they are more laid back?

i was 2 days past due when I delivered. My last appt with OB was at 39w3d. My next appt was set for 40w 3d. They weren't going to let me go past 1 week past due so that would have been my last appt.

I lost my plug the morning I had him when I started contractions so don't worry about the fact that you haven't lost it yet. I was also very impatient. however, when I woke up that morning and I was in labor I felt as if it came on and as if I wasn't expecting it. As if I didn't know that this day would eventually come after 9 months. It was so strange.

i went five days overdue with DD (she was due Dec 28th)

I had gone dec 31st nothing so i went again on jan 2nd she still didnt think anything was going to happen so she scheduled a non-stress test for the 7th of Jan...turns out the appt on the 2nd shook things up...my water broke and to the hospital i went...had to have labour induced since i wasnt having any contractions tho.

I see a midwife also. At the end it was/is every week, until 40 weeks. When I was late with Ella, I was seeing her 2x/week.

I have my 40 wk appt on Friday.

I was overdue with both children. My 1st I was indcued. My drs do not let anyone go past a week late and the second, I was 4 days late but went into the hospital at 5-6cm dilated and delivered. I was still going once a week.

I saw my doctor today and this is the schedule she gave me:

EDD May 26 (next Monday) but they're closed for Memorial Day

Next Appt: May 27 (Tuesday)

Following Appt: May 30 (Friday) where they'll do a non-stress test and an ultrasound. She said they do the U/S to ensure their is enough fluid still surrounding the baby.

June 2 (The following Monday, 41 weeks exactly): they'll induce me.

I hit my due date of 40weeks and was supposed to have my appt to discuss induction on that wed (40w 2day) but I had some spotting on tuesday and they had me go in to be checked. Turns out I was having mild contractions, but they we irregula still. So I went home and sure enough went into labor that night.

My office does not let patients go past 41 weeks. They found based on studies it has a higher chance of inductions that lead to c-secs.

with my first I was scheduled to come in 8 days after my due date. Like you, I felt fine, baby was moving, so I wasn't concerned. I ended up going into labor the night before the appt.

Once I was 40 weeks I went for a non-stress test at the end of that week and each week following. My DS was born 10 days past his due date.
