Outdoor party May 3? Thoughts?

Thanks to Barbara, i found out that I can use the pavilion at Scudder Beach for Cailen's 1st bday party for free. I reserved the date - May 3, and spoke to DH...

He and I both were talking how the weather could be iffy - but hello - look at today, and its February, so who knows anymore....

What do you think? Should we risk it? Its free, the only thing, then we would need a back up plan for rain...

Since my parents said I can use their house, then I guess they could be the back up plan, but I really would love it outside...

Is that being too hopeful for that time of year?

GO FOR IT! My neice and nephews bday are on May 2, so they always have their bday parties that weekend and the weather has always been nice. I pray it will be the same for you! and you have a back-up, so it's so worth it!

Would you consider having a rain date for the party?

eta. I have the pavillion reserved for June. I'm not sure if I'm having it there, but figured I can always back out of something free.

Make sure you send that letter!

We had an outdoor Cindo de Mayo party and it was nice weather! Go for it. The worst you have is rain. I don't think it will be horribly cold.
