out of curiousity... where did you shop this season?
I'm an online and budget girl... so mainly amazon, overstock, and smartbargains.
for regular stores, I went to marshalls/homegoods and ann taylor for most of my stuff, and target for the wrapping supplies...
(oh, and MoMA for my cards, as I do every year....)
My one unusual store was aspinal of london... they're a pricy leather shop that had a wonderful sale in sept... I bought a lot of clearance!
If I do declare, I found some GREAT bargains!

Macys - I signed up for the 10% rewards program in September.
That's pretty much it, I was on a very strict budget so I tried to get the most bang for my buck - in addition to whatever Macys sale I found, I also got an extra 10% off (in essence since I was getting 10% of the purchase back).
I also hit up Wal Mart and Toys R Us (minimal purchases at each of these places).

I bought all the Gap and Banana gifts less than a week before Christmas. Two days after Christmas I celebrated price adjustment day   .

I didn't pay full price for anything this year. I used lots of coupons or waited until sites were offering free shipping. It was nice doing things online and avoiding the stores.
Amazon (joined the prime program to take advantage or 2day shipping)
Omaha Steaks (used $20 e-gc that they sent me, free shipping and 4 free steaks)
Borders (used bunch of 40% off coupons)
Target (purchased all the kids toys during Black Friday sales)
Pottery Barn (online, got free shipping)

everything was online I did a lot of walmart.com, target.com and toysrus. I also have an ebates account and am getting a ton of rebates because before I shopped a store I checked to see if they were on ebates or not. Love that site!
