For those of you who got bfp after a miscarriage, were your early "symptoms" (if any) of the new pregnancy the same as the early pregnancy you lost? I highly doubt that I will get a bfp this time around but I keep trying to remember what, if any symptoms I had last time really early and I'm analyzing everything (as a silly example, I remember before I got a bfp the first time that i got a strange feeling when I ate- haven't had it since the miscarriage- but noticed it yesterday for the first time again. I'm sure I'm being insane as it's not even a normal pregnancy symptom but I thought hmm. That's weird!!!! If that makes any sense, hahaha

I know they SAY every pregnancy is different but just wondered if per chance I should expect to feel similarly if I get a bfp again sometime. Then again, the symptoms before my bfp do seem a bit blurry now

Re: Out of curiosity

My symptoms were very different for the most part but I definitely felt off. The biggest first symptoms both times had to do with eating. My sense of taste was off and I had a metallic taste in my mouth. My boobs were very sensitive almost right away and I had a lot of pulling under my belly button. The last thing I remember was running a slight fever and sweating A LOT at night.

Nothing wrong with paying attention to your body. It tries to tell us things in subtle ways sometimes. I hope you get your BFP!!

Thanks.....I dont really think I'm going to get a BFP this month (our timing was off as I was traveling for work), but you never know.....regardless of knowing that it will likely be different when I finally do get a BFP again, I wish I could remember what I felt like the first time just for comparison sake (but I didnt think I ws PG then either and was definitely not in tune with any symptoms until I POAS so I dont really remember much.)

My symptoms were exactly the same. Very tired, sore boobs, a lot of CM, and the feeling like I was going to get AF any second.
Good luck!

Re: Out of curiosity

My first pregnancy was with my DS and I was constantly peeing, super sore boobs and lots of CM. My 2 MCs since my first pregnancy were very different. My second pregnancy I barely had any symptoms. I thought it was because I was pregnant before and my body "remembered" how to act. My 3rd pregnancy was similar in that I had very sore boobs and was super bloated. I was surprised when that pregnancy failed.
We're currently TTC and I am driving myself crazy with pregnancy symptoms. It's a sickness, really lol Chat Icon

Good luck to you!Chat Icon

Different symptoms entirely. With the mc and chem, I was NASTY with DH, couldn't stop crying. With my successful pregnancy (DS is 3 & 1/2 months old now) I was incredibly happy leading up to and after my BFP. Also, with DS, my sense of smell increased IMMEDIATELY. I remember driving the day after I got my BFP and smelling the gas station from 4 blocks away... That symptom waxed and waned throughout the first few months.

All of my pregnancies were different but one of my first symptoms was the same for all three. I had very vivid, strange dreams leading up to my BFP and throughout the pregnancies. So unlike my normal dreams that I was convinced I was pregnant based on that symptom alone the last two times.

My early symptoms for my first pregnancy (when I had a healthy pregnancy with my daughter) and my third pregnancy, which I lost/was a chemical, the symptoms were exactly the same. I really had a good feeling about it because of that and losing it was a huge letdown.

With my second pregnancy which was a miscarriage I had very few, if any, symptoms, and I kind of had a bad feeling about it from the beginning.
