OMG...I LOST a pound....
at 33 weeks 2 days....the DR was not concerned.
Everything else is AOK.

seriously...Im surprised with feeling ok that you havent gained.
I knwo the others of us, me and katedevine who only gained a few lbs have been throwing up for months ....your Dr cant explain why you arent gaining if your holding food down?

Your metabolism must speed up so much during pg, wheras i think most of us it slows down to a traffic like crawl.

honestly Donna, I did not ask if there was an explanation for it.
With DD I gained 22 lbs. Maybe it's because I'm always running around after her? There are times I eat at odd times, so the meal is smaller than what it should be, and I don't eat unless I'm hungry. I tend to eat less the warmer it is outside in general....feeling full AND hot just makes me feel icky.
I felt concerned, but because the DR wasn't I felt a little better about it. He measured me and said nothing about measuring small either and I'm sure I started out weighing more than I should for my height.
 we'll see what happens in 2 weeks. It took me a month to put the 1 lb on, 2 weeks for it to come off.

I think everyone is different. Bodies will gain a lot or a little no matter what.
I was down almost 12 pounds entering my 2nd trimester. I was sick past week 20, then had horrible heartburn the rest of the time. I ate very litte, walked 3 miles a day, and gained over 60 pounds when it was time to give birth.

I lost 3 pounds since last week! And I'm 35 weeks.
Of course, I've gained about 40 pounds so far, so no one is worried about those 3 pounds!
