This really pizzes me off....a professor at a local university a couple years ago left his baby in the car all day because he says he forgot he had him
ETA: That poor baby didn't make it. I was over 112 degrees in that car! The guy got a slap on the wrist..thats it!

Holy **** that is unbelievable. I do not know why some people are allowed to have children... So many people who would be great parents can't. Yet you have these people who are complete a$$ holes who can. I do not understand

If I run inside my house for 5 seconds to lock the door while dd is in the carseat I feel awful how can someone do that for 8 hours?! So sad!!!

i am not a mother, and i know this happens, but from what i can see - just on this board!! - most moms are almost PARANOID and would never *forget* their child in their car. how can you not know of the risks and be MORE aware during the summer, fall and spring months???

I posted about this the other day.
I check the back of my car a million times, even when I know I dropped Cailen off at daycare.
To me, its no skin off my nose to still look, just in case....
He is my life. He is my everything. he depends on me to keep him safe. I owe it to him to always make sure he is taken care of....

This woman is an asst. principal of a school. How could anyone trust her to exercise good judgement around other children after this? I hope she gets fired immediately. I cannot believe that the DA is not charging her on this either, especially considering she was warned and has done this before. It makes me sick.
