I heard/read somewhere that Marissa wants off the show to go and do bigger and better things so that is why I think she might be killed off.

Yes Deb, we're out here! 
They said someone "may" not make it out alive, so it could be all cliff hangery again.
In that case, it could be Marissa, if she is in contract negotiations.
Otherwise, Kirsten is a possiblity, her story isn't going anywhere, but the other rumor I hard was Sandy.
I don't think Volcheck & Ryan's old GF count as "major" characters.
