Okay Ladies Please Explain
The Internal examination. I get that next and i just have no idea what to expect. Does your doctor put his whole hand up there or what?? I just want to be prepared.

I have never heard of a doctor putting his whole hand inside of you for an internal exam...I would ask the doctor to explain everything before he starts.

I just had mine on thursday, she test with a cotton swab - for Strep B test and the actuall internal, I think there was 1 finger that is it, I was told I was 1cm dialated, so next visit may be more than 1 finger. It took all of 2 min. Not bad at all.

I have had several internals even though I am only 20 weeks ( Iwas having BH contrax). Its like 1 or 2 fingers and its not that bad - its uncomfortable for like 3-5 seconds.

They put about half their hand in there and use 2 fingers to estimate how much your dilated.
