Deb made fun of me when I told her that I bought it... DH and I HUGE beach goers and will be at the beach almost every weekend..so I purchased it to make our lives easier instead of struggling with the chairs, toys etc.

This realization has been hitting me little by little and at times has been really scary and eye opening. Even something so simple like running out to the grocery store will become an event. However, when I really thought about it, I wouldn't trade any of our spur of the moment activities for this gift we're getting.

We are still planning on going to our week long camping trip to a folk festival we have been going to every year - the baby will be less than 4 mts old so I'll have to ask a lot of questions on the parenting board - it gets hot and everything is outside but there are big shady tent areas and places where parents can go with their kids (its very family oriented)
I will be working, and on the wknds we always have my stepdaughters so there was never really any "running out of the house" - but, I think about how my summer clothes will fit me - that freaks me out most of all!!!

like there will be a baby involved.... no more just let's go to the beach on the spur of the moment... or lets go out tonight spur of the moment... etc... wow, I feel really grown up!!!!!!!!!!!
(sigh) we are usually at the beach EVERY weekend. w a baby sounds fun, but this is my first summer pg (7-8 months) (no beer and no bikini) and how do i tan the back of my legs?

You'll have to dig a hole in the sand under your beach blanket to put your belly in !!
