Official Pet Gift Swap -

Okay...those who are interested please FM me your name, address and types of animals.
Post on this thread your animals and what their likes/dislikes are as well as what types of toys or treats they like and have.

I think we should do a household type thing so it doesn't get too expensive. So, if you have three cats - you will get a gift from one person for all three cats.

I will send out a FM on November 1st to anyone who is participating with the name and address of their "giftees". So, you have until October 31 to decide if you want to do it and send my your info.

Gift max is $15 plus shipping.
Please make sure to mail out your gift on or before December 8th so the puppy/kitty has it before Christmas!

I will obviously be participating...
One dog - Weimaraner named Misty who is insane. She loves nylon stuffed toys (like fire hydrants/bones) but any stuffed toy will do. It's all about the disection. She also loves any treats.

One cat - Espresso, who loves hard treats and anything that moves. Especially the toys on the wands. He has a wand already, so any new attachment is great

Lilly - Dog - Italian Greyhound

Likes - clothing (size small from Target fits her the best ), flossies, soft squeeky toys with no "fuzz" on them (pretty much the smoother, the better), soft blankets to snuggle under (we have a fleece blanket from the baby section at Target that she loves , more are always welcome)

Dislikes - treats aside from flossies (she has a very sensitive stomach and an allergy to chicken), any hard toys

Dog - Teemu (Finnish Spitz/Lapphund mix) who needs tough toys. He loves soft toys, but unfortunately can tear the average toy to shreads in 5 seconds (no exaggeration). He also loves frisbees/flyers - anything he can fetch!

Cats - Jack & Anabelle. Not huge toy fans, but they LOVE treats, esp the moist/soft ones.



eta: no rawhide for Teemu. His stomach can't handle it! Also no greenies and no small toys/balls (smaller than a tennis ball)

Sara - dog - greyhound - has tons of toys so would prefer treats.

Hailey - dog - greyhound - again, has tons of toys so would prefer treats.

Figaro - cat - he's a senior but still loves any kind of toy he can hit and run after and loves treats

Jeter - cat - he's a maniac and loves all toys and all treats

Dogs: (2) female pugs, Bella & Abbey

Likes: They love Nylabones, Balls, stuffed animals. Treats: Anything chewy, not hard treats.

Gus is a 3yo yellow lab that thinks he's a pitbull/lap dog
LIKES: anything rawhide, squeeky toys of any size or color, and any kind of fetch toys
DISLIKES: anythink bbq flavored really anything other then rawhide he has a VERY sensative stomach, and he hates costumes of any kind

Daisy is our 1yo cashmire kitty
LIKES: glitter balls, jingle toys, chasing things, LOVES little mice but Gus eats them She really loves anything that she can run after and she LOVES soft treats. She also LOVES her jungle gym cat house. She loves to sit in open windows and people/bird/squirrel watch
DISLIKES: stationary toys if she can't chase it, bat it away, or pounce it she won't play with it.

(updated 11/1 with new info)

Brinkley is a 10 month old chocolate Labrador (his birthday is 12/14!). I believe he may have allergies so we have him on a controlled diet which means no treats, rawhide, pig ears, etc.

Here's what we know he likes so far:

1. Anything made for chewing that is synthetic - we have 1 Nylabone he's working on and a Kong that he loves.

2. Anything that is durable and honks/squeaks. Plush toys aren't good because he rips them open too quick and tries to eat the stuffing.

3. Fetching toys. Can't have enough of these - he's a retriever, after all! We have a small frisbee, a tennis ball, and a plastic ball.

4. Rope toys. We play tug of war a lot and this is his toy of choice for that game!

2 years old this November.

1) Needs anything that his teeth cannot crack open in a half hour! Strong rope/ball/ring toys are his favorite! Also big Nylabones.

No rawhide or noisy toys or treats! (We have tons of treats for him)!
That pretty much covers it!

I'm in ... Maddie, choc lab ... come the holidays she will be 9 months.

No treats or noisy stuff!

She loves her Kong Snugga Wubba (we've moved on to an XL size), frisbees, rope toys are okay (but don't last long!) and those hard bones that sometimes come filled or basted but she's only had plain (and I don't think I'd want to be any more adventurous than unbasted and maybe peanut butter filled?).

I'm in.
My girl is Meri, she's 7 years old but still acts like a pup. She's a black lab mix.

She LOVES anything that she can squeak and her goal is to get to that squeaker so anything that's tougher to get to will last longer!
She also loves 'greenies'- ever since she was a pup she devours them. HTH!

I have an English Springer Spaniel named Piper. He is 9 months old. He loves Ducks, Geese or any other type of stuff animal ( he seems to like the fur with rough texture). He loves Frisbees or anything else you can toss. As for treats, he likes anything from Trader Joes, Mother Hubbards, or Charlie Bears.

She loves things that jingle or crinkle but only if they are soft and small. I bought her a bunch of plastic balls with bells in them and she could care less. I bought her some stuffed mice and she couldnt be bothered. I bought her a mouse that moves when you pull its tail but it doesnt last long enough to keep her interest. We have two snake toys and that keeps her kind of busy....she likes to pounce on things. It would appear that her favorite "toy" is the egg roll wrapper I crunched up into a ball for her. She actually plays fetch with it. If I throw it, she will run after it, swat it and play with it for a few minutes and then bring it back to me so I can throw it again. She doesnt do this with anything else that I throw although watching her do this is very cute Her favorite toy is a Hertz Racoon on a string. Its head is a hardish plushy but its tail is crinkly with feathers and it has a rattle inside of it. I think something that constantly moved would keep her attention.
