So I wanted to update that I became a June mommy today! My water broke last night, went to the hospital to get induced, it unfortunately was unsuccessful because I ended up with a c section, but baby is doing well!! My little girl Paige Alexandra was born at 535 am this morning and was 7 lb 1 oz and 21 inches long. She also has a full head of hair which explains my massive heartburn lol. Hoping everyone has an easy labor and delivery going forward!

Oh wow! Congratulations!!!!

Hi ladies! Everything went great and I'm hoping to be home tomorrow.

Joseph Elliott was born on 6/25/15 @ 8:57am. He was 7lb 15oz and 21 inches. He actually gained 3 oz the day he was born!

I'll post a picture when we're home since I can't do it from my phone.

Great news!!! Congratulations!!!

Just checking in to see how the July
Mommies are doing and wow, lots if June babies! Congratulations!!!! And hope the rest of the July
Mommies have an easy labor and delivery! Chat Icon

Cristiano is 2 weeks old today and we finally get to enjoy him. The first week and a half we had almost daily check up/ blood draws to check his bilirubin levels which kept increasing. He had to have an overnight stay last fri- sat under the Bili lights and an iv. He has
Breast milk jaundice so I had to give him formula during his hospital stay. Now he won't latch! I'm pumping and getting enough for bottles but going to try nipple shields and see if they help.

So glad you can finally enjoy him! Sorry about the first couple weeks but sounds like he was in good hands!

I am 38 weeks tomorrow and hope I have her soon (if she is ready!) the not knowing when it will happen is almost the hardest part!

Re: ***OFFICIAL JULY 2015 BABIES THREAD***

DD2 is here! She arrived this morning at 1:57am.

Long birth story, but it involves an induction, broken epidural tubing that nobody believed me and then finally saw it was broke and fixed it, then the epidural wearing off just in time to push. Wow, I was one of those crazy cursing woman in the movies. BUT dd came with only a few big pushes and in under 10 minutes! Guess it's true what they say about a second labor.

Dd1 met her today and I now know your heart truly does expand when you have another dc. We're in love.

Ok, here it goes. As to the point as I can...

Went for routine dr appt Tuesday morning. Thankfully dh came with me. We were in two separate cars bc he was going to the train station to go to the city for work after. I mentioned decreased fetal movement. Dr sent me to hospital straight away to be monitored. Dh took dd home and got coverage for her. Monitoring came out fine. My dr said for peace of mind for me since I wasn't getting the reassurance from movement just stay for induction. At 39 weeks (the next day) I was full term anyway.

I was scared of getting induced early and having it end in a csection and how the baby would react and forcing her out etc. well I was 38w6d and since the monitoring was fine we didn't have a medical reason to induce prior to 39 weeks. I was in the hospital all day Tuesday in limbo. Am I staying? Am I going and coming back? Final decision was start cervadil at midnight so I would be exactly 39 weeks.

July 1 into july 2nd- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
12am. Started cervadil. 1cm and 50% effaced. Baby EXTREMELY low. Like her head was right there
12pm. Took cervadil out. Still 1cm and now 75-80% effaced
They let me eat lunch. Woo hoooo
3pm started Pitocin
530pm 3cm, still 75-80% effaced
6pm got epidural. Felt amazing!!!
630pm epidural wore off and I felt like I never had it. Tried to tell anesthesiologist and he said its normal. I shouldnt be completely numb, blah blah blah. I knew something was right but was made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. Dh even noticed a puddle by the epidural machine, they looked and said it was impossible for it to be coming from the machine. I had an epidural with dd1 so I knew. I dropped it.
1030pm. 5cm. I finally said something again. Dh noticed another puddle under the machine. Now I'm adament that I'm not wrong. Something isn't right. Low and behold guess what. There's a f'ing tear in the tubing and the epidural was leaking onto the floor the whole time and not getting to me!!! Validation at last and they fixed it. Felt great again.
1145pm 6cm, dr broke my water. I knew it was going to rapidly excel things.
1230am 7cm
140am-ish I had my eyes closed and all of a sudden jolted awake, screamed to dh get up we need the nurse ASAP. She was coming. She was so close and far down I thought she was going to fall out. Epidural wore off and I couldn't get a boost bc I was about to push. Got the dr in, I was fully dilated. Got the table of tools, etc etc etc all ready. They kept telling me not to push. They were still prepping the room. It felt like an eternity. All I wanted to do was push.
Finally got to push and really only pushed through 3 contractions with a few really good pushes and dd2 was out! Literally under 10 minutes. I felt everything tho and was screaming like a crazy person. Once dd came out it all went away. She was born at 1:57am

Congrats again!!! And that's crazy how they didn't believe you about the epidural!! They actually did not believe me about my water breaking and I thought I was going to be sent home! The doctor did a test to determine it was amniotic fluid and for some reason it came back negative. I told them I would not be making up that my water broke, the nurse said oh it could be urine! I couldn't believe it lol. They finally believed me age they saw more water coming out. Unbelievable! Anyway I'm glad that all worked out!! Love her name btw

Yes I have a ds already...I pushed 5x for him and only 1x this time. It was crazy. I went from 6cm to fully dilated in 2 minutes and she just flew out... Dr wasn't even ready, they caught her on her way out.
