I am so happy everytime they replay his speech i start to cry, I have so much hope for our future, I know it wont happen overnight or maybe not in a year, but I know change for the better will come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May God bless him and his family and keep them safe

It took me a long time to decide who to vote for. I am happy with my choice and I truly felt that I was watching history in the making last night. This is really what our forefathers meant when they said “liberty and justice for all”. This proves that America really is the land of opportunity and we finally have someone who I think is a man of the people and not just one of the good ol’ boys.

I am SO happy, but it has also still not hit me yet. The first 2 elections I voted in were 2000 and 2004. No matter what side you were on, 2000 was really a disaster and a low point in our democracy.
We were watching TV whe I got home at 10:30 and it was looking really good, but I was worried. Then they were about to call CA, and it was at about 220 EV for Obama. I asked FH "how many votes does CA have" "I don't know, 30 something.. but there's OR and WA too". Then Wolf Blitzer said CA has 57 EV, and the countdown was ticking down..less than 30 seconds..I knew it was just moments away but it was too good to be true. then I saw it on the giant screen - "Barack Obama Elected President of the United States" I screamed right in FH's ear and jumped up and down. I was one the verge of breaking down into tears, but I was also kind of numb, waiting for the other show to drop. After 8 long years, it just didn't seem possible.
I am SO happy!
