They cover Nutramagin...but its not GHI, you need to go through the Union prescription cover

We get 5 cases of 6 RTF bottles of Allimentum for $35 a month through the welfare fund. They have to approve it. Make sure your doctor documents everything you've tried before. So I breast fed, then did powder and RTF regular, then sensitive. Finally switched to Allimentum.

yes, yes, yes! i am doing this right now. you don't go through GHI - you have to go through the Welfare Fund. Call them and ask to be connected to the UFT pharmacist. he will direct you through the process. basically, you will need a letter of medical necessity from your pediatrician (basically documenting why he needs it (i.e. milk allergy and symptoms).

i get 14 cans of powder per month (and i don't even use all of that, so i have a surplus of about a case) for a $35.00 co-pay - a steal. one large can of it is $35.00!

in the meantime, ask your ped. to give you some samples to tide you over, but everything was worked out in just a few days. you will fill it at a local pharmacy 9i.e. CVS), NOT through the mail-order Medco program that the UFT encourages you to use for everything else for cost savings. it's not even an option with MEdco.
