NPR: They say these things happen in three's
I know this is prob not the appropriate board to post this but I just feel more comfortable talking to you girls. As you all know my mom passed away unexpectedly right before xmas at 63 years old. Well I just found out that my SIL mom passed away yesterday at 55 of a heart attack. These things always seem to happen in 3's so I can't help but wonder who's next? It makes me incredibly nervous because my LO will be here anyday now and even though I know she's healthy I can't shake this gloom and doom feeling!

Oh Gail I know how hard it must be to think like that but you have to get that out of your head and only think positive! Dont worry about your LO, she is going to be perfect and beautiful and everything will be fine!! In just 2 days you will have the best gift you could ever imagine, just keep thinking about that!!

I am so sorry. This is the unfotunate side of life. We are given all these wonderful people to love and then they are taken away from us, some way too soon. But as they are taken away, many new people also come into our lives, such as your DD with be very shortly and she will help you with the healing process. Just always remember that all the ones we have lost are always watching over us.

oh gail . . this is totally the right place to post! Never worry about posting something here. That is really hard but have faith that your LO will be here and be fine! Monday will be here before you know it and you will have that sweet little girl in your arms!!
So many hugs and prayers to you and post as MUCH as you need to to help anxiety!!

I know what you mean about these things happening in threes. Sometimes the three are not necessarily people close to you, but you hear of them in groups of 3's. My Aunt passed away yesterday after a short battle with cancer. She was relatively young - 72. She and my Uncle were together since they were 16. You can take this news as your #3 and I can take your sad news as my 2 & 3 and we don't have to worry anymore (?). I'm very sorry for your loss(es) :(

I am so sorry you are going through all of this! That is just a saying, and most of the time people are looking for a third thing just becaise of the saying. I am sure your LO will be just the bright light that you need right now. We will all be praying for a safe, easy delivery!
