Normal Beta Levels
Hi,
I am very new to this board. I just found out today that my blood confirmed a BFP!
I am excited but extremely cautious. I had the blood drawn yesterday which was around 11 or 12dpo and my beta was 52. My RE wants to redo the bloodwork on Thursday. Is this normal?
P.S. I am having lower back pain and I am extremely gassy. Is this a sign of an impeding miscarriage or is this normal? Sorry for all the questions but I am so worried right now and I think my body is going through alot of changes that I cannot keep up with!

Congrats!
My doc had me go for blood a few times in the beginning just to make sure my numbers were increasing appropriately - so it's normal that you are going back again.
I think it's really the increase of the levels that is key - not really the level itself.

Those levels sound good. My beta at 14DPO was 77 and it more than doubled in 48 hours. The doubling is more important than the initial beta...you could have ovulated later than you originally though. Congratulations.

I think it is fine. Check out betabase.com for average levels by dpo. Just go for your next test-it should double by then. Did he check yoru progesterone?

At 12dpo I was beta was 52 also, and am now almost 14 weeks pg.

That sounds like a good beta level. My doc said that they look for a 65% increase in beta levels every couple of days so it sounds normal that your doc wants to repeat the bloodwork. Congratulations!!! I hope you have a healthy and happy nine months!!!
