When is a newborn not considered a newborn anymore?

I think that at about 3 months they are no longer considered a newborn, and to me, they are an infant till about 6 months, from there after a baby.

I know NYS considered an infant to be up until the age of 2. I don't necessarily agree with this, but that's what the daycares have to follow.
