New Paltz Hotels
Can anyone rec'd a nice hotel or B&B in New Paltz other than Mohonk? I have a wedding up there this summer.

We stayed at a basic Best Western type hotel. It was much cheaper than mohank.

I went to college in NP and live 20 min from it now- in the actual town, I wouldn't stay at any of the motels... down Rt 299 on 9W there is a Super 8 in Highland . My parents stayed there 2x when visiting us. Other than that, across the Mid-hudson Bridge in Poughkeepsie, there are many more choices
( Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, Holiday Inn express etc)

We recently stayed at the Poughkeepsie Grand and hated it--if you're going on RT 9 in Pok., I'd go with the Holiday Inn Express (also offers free breakfast!) or the one across the street from it...I forget what chain it is...
