I already had dry hair, but it has been worse... I am going for a haircut tomorrow- nothing too short, just trying to get it to look healthier

im the total opposite - my hair and nails are strong - ive never have long nails so this is a plus with these vitamins..

isnt that typical that your skin and hair become dry in the 2nd trimester?? - im slowly getting through the bible of what to expect when your expecting!

Not sure. this still can be remaining from my last pregnancy.. I know the little hairs at the top that annoy me most and they are from last pregnancy when i went through all that shedding part. plus i still had a bit of highlights growing out so that was dry.. Hoping now that its all cut out it will look more healthy.

I feel like my cat, my entire head has been shedding. It's awful. I decided to get highlights on Saturday because my grays are out of control and unfortunately I have very dark brown hair so I can't hide them. So I'm going to get highlights but basicall the same as my natural color to hopefull cover all the gray stragglers. I hope that doesn't make my hair fall out more.Chat Icon

I have been losing so much hair since getting pregnant. I'm surprised I still have any hair left at this point. I really hope the shedding stops soon!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hi Ladies! I haven't really been on lately. I can't believe we all pretty much passed the 12 week mark already! How many of you still fit into your pants??? I am 13.5 weeks and yesterday my pants started to not button anymore! I have been using a rubberband to hold them together! I don't want to buy maternity pants yet! Especially since I fell like I'm not even showing really. I guess I will see how long I can get away with it. Chat Icon My hair and nails (to comment on the hair topic)though seems to actually be healthier now than before I was pregnant. However I feel like it's growing like weeds!!! Ok ladies just wanted to say Hi and hope all of you are starting to enjoy your pregnancy a little more...meaning M/S is starting to go away! Chat Icon

Hi Mandy,
I'm 14w2d today and my pants just about don't button either. Some do, most don't. I use my hair elastic thing and pull it around the button and through the loop on the other side. Seems to work so far. I bought that Bella Band thing, but I don't like it, it's too much material and bunches up. So for now, until I'm big enough to fit in maternity pants, the hair thing will have to do.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hi Ladies- Happy Friday!!!

I am finally feeling a little better today. It is amazing how this baby takes up all of my immunity!!!

Now dh is sick and my mom and sisters! The only one not sick is my dad!

Ruby- i took your advice, I am wearing a hair tie instead of buttoning my jeans. so far so good. I really like it and it is very comfortable!

i'm sure within 2 weeks i wont be able to wear these pants but for now, this is great!

I go to the dr for a checkup on sept 3 and my level II is scheduled for sept 25.
My level I results came back normal, so that is great news!!!

Question for you ladies- when are you going to register?

Hey Babybaby! Can't wait to know who you are! So glad you are feeling better..isn't it great to feel almost normal again?!

Angela, so glad you are feeling better. Being sick is such a drag..add pregnancy to it and its torchure!! Tell the germies to stay away from you for a few days, as to not reinfect you.
Hope everyone is feeling well today!! And, oh, registering, gosh I haven't even thought that far ahead...I haven't even sent out my wedding thank you cards yet! Yikes!Chat Icon

hey girls... so funny... i just chopped off all my hair too! i got cancelled from work last tuesday, DH was at work and DS was at daycare. i guess boredom sent me to the hair salon lol.

it was a little embarrassing, b/c my hair was about down to my lower back. i usually wash it and then put it in a ponytail/low bun for work. so the stylist was pretty much pushing my head down while combing out all my tangles and knots... i was thinking, "yeah, i know, i'm a young mommy who doesn't even have time to comb her hair!" Chat Icon this was kinda a trendy place too...

at first i requested shoulder-length, then thought it still looked long for my face, so i went even shorter to in between my chin and shoulder...

i actually like it! low maintenance!

now, let's see pics of your new chop, babysammie and i'll show you mine =)
