Need happy thoughts and prayers. UPDATE!!!!
I've been having pain on my left side, just above my 'hairline' for a few weeks. It's hasn't been bad, but the past few days it's been getting worse. Today I'm in the shower and I look down and see a bump in that area, about the size of an egg trying to get out. It's all on the left side, about 2-3 inches from center. It feels like something is pushing to get out. I hope this is normal.
I called the doctor and they were about to close (I take showers late because I work at 4) and they scheduled me first thing in the morning. I'm not sure what the heck this is. Could it be a hernia emerging from when I had the stomach flu? Could this be bad for the baby? I'm very nervous and in so much pain that work is tough right now.
I'm 11 weeks.
UPDATE:
All is well!!!!!!!!  The bump is actually baby growing!! Who knew it could happen assymetrically at first?  Doctor said the rest of my body will catch up and things will even out. I guess baby likes the left side for now. We really thought it was a hernia from the stomach flu I had. Now I feel like an idiot. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.
Good news is that we got to hear the heartbeat!!!!

sounds like a hernia, but I'm not a Dr. From what I read, they're very common during pregnancy.
Good luck at the Dr.'s hope all goes well and you and baby are fine!
