Aww thanks hun!
Kendall is chosen because I would like her to be named after my stepfather in some way. His name was Kenneth so I loved Kendall as a middle name as a way to honor him.

I like Makenna too - he said the same thing.
Our friends just had a baby and named her Kyla...so thats out. So is Madison, Makensie, Ella, Emily, Kaylee, and a few others....lots of our friends are having or just had little girls.
I love the name Makenna. That is a very unique name. A close friend of mine got married in Hawaii 5years ago on Makena Beach in Maui. Two years later, they had a baby girl and named her Makena.

McKenna's my last name!!!! DH even suggested Mackenna as our first name (his logic is that it's spelled differently)  We also saw Makena beach in Hawaii, and he said it just proved his point.

I believe you know when the name is perfect.If it feels off I would try tons of other names.
Maybe name her Kathleen and call her Katie.

There are SO many names on this post that I love! I just got off the phone with PH (picky husband) who shot down all of them!! 
I'm going to run them all by him again at home tonight - maybe he's just distracted at work.

AHH what is it with men that they have such bad taste in names? 
I'm not even PG but DH and I argue about the name thing allll the time... I know when the time comes its not gonna be pretty
Kathy, maybe you should tell your DH that since YOU are the one carrying your daughter for 9 months and have to go thru labor and all that other fun stuff that goes along with pregnancy .. then YOU get to pick her name

I completely agreee!!! Plus, the baby gets his last name anyway so in a way, he does get to name the baby.

My name is Kathleen, so its close, we probably wouldn't use Katherine for that reason...which is why I like Kaitlyn, because I love "Katie" for short.

That's the one we are leaning towards.
Why can't you just name her Katie. It doesnt' have to be short for anything.

We wanted something a little more formall and then a nick name for short...Like I'm Kathy short for Kathleen, you know?
Well we do both like Kaitlyn, so if we can;t come up with another name we agree on then we'll go with Kaitlyn

Yes my full name is Katherine. Growing up everyone called me Katie, and now Kate. My mother's name is Katherine, too, but everyone calls her Kathie.
