Need advice on increasing ebay traffic
on my items:
auctions
can you tell me - am I missing key words? Do I need better descriptions? It doesn't seem I am even getting people to the auctions.
I have more to post (purses!!) but I dont want to waste time and money if I can't get anyone there....advice?

hmmm, maybe also use the word accessories? I know that is a pretty broad term & might help increase the traffic.

Re: Need advice on increasing ebay traffic
I am going to say something that is just my opinion. Other people may see it differently.
If I see an item, with a starting bid that really is not much lower than the "Buy it now" price, I figure I am not really getting a great deal on it, which is part of the reason I am on EBay in the first place. I know it might not make sense, but I think psychologically, if your starting price was lower, people might think it is more of a "bargain" and be encouraged to bid. We were at a silent auction a few months ago and the hardest thing was getting people to make the first bid. Once they did, others were willing to go a little higher. so I would suggest, if it is cost effective for you, drop the starting bid a bit and see if the interest picks up.
Hope that helps - the turquoise pendant is really pretty!

Re: Need advice on increasing ebay traffic
I watched a documentray on Ebay and they said the same as the above poster. Make your starting price LOW...Try it on just a few items. I know I have seen ( this is just an example) an item for $14.99 starting price go up to say $50 when there is ANOTHER AUCTION for the SAME ITEM for like $20...People love the bidding war and will if the item is low keep bidding..I betcha it works...cant hurt to try it on a few items...
Also I would put more Bold words in yoru description like " HOT NEW EARRINGS: ( just an example...
good luck

Re: Need advice on increasing ebay traffic
definitely use the word dangle with the THREAD earrings
are they sterling? costume jewelry? I know alot of people put in measurements, so maybe how long the earrings are?
I like what you have! Where do you get it?

I would try to add more key words in the title- jewelry, vintage, antique, glass beads, rhinestones, maybe there's a more 'specific' name for that type of jewelry? maybe more detail in your description too. hope that helps

Re: Need advice on increasing ebay traffic
I think you are missing the word JEWELERY. Sounds silly but people search for silver jewelery, constume jewelery etc.
Plus I agree with the previous posts about starting low.
Good luck
