Need a new vet - Commack/East Northport
After our long time, original vet totally missed the boat on Mikey and his cancer, I made the obvious decision to not take our other cat, Bubba, there anymore.
Can anyone recommend a good vet in the East Northport/Commack area?
I used to take them commack animal hopsital on jericho. They had 4 vets there, so there hours were awesome. Open on Sat and Sunday. I'd love to find another just like that.

I know its not Commack or East orNthport but we use Hauppauge Animal Hospital and Dhs family always has and is very happy with them.

We use Dix Hills Animal Hospital. We are very happy there.
SOmeone else mentioned Dr. Kenneth (Kenny) Gantt. He went to high school with me and if I had to switch, I would definitely go to him. He was a grade ahead of me and I doubt he remembers me but he was always really nice and super intelligent. I have heard good things about his vet practice and our groomers recommend him all the time.

which vet did you see at commack??
perhaps just switching docs would be better for you?
i really did not like one doc we saw there and switched to dr. gurtman and since then - we LOVE him - i wouldn't want to take char anywhere else - she really loves him too.

Dr. Koslow was who we dealt with a lot and it was his ridiculously passive treatment that prevented us from helping Mikey sooner.
I did see Dr. Gurtman a few times during the month and he used to be our top choice along with kothari (who left the practice last week). But even gurtman was a little dismissive of the cat's symptoms (we had to put the cat to sleep 2 weeks later). The whole place just has bad memories for me. We were there soooo many times over the summer, I think we need a clean start. I think I'm going to call the place on larkfield.
