Roy Rogers, My Pie and Wuvs in HIcksville.
Rainforest Cafe in Westbury
I think theres still a HoJos in Jericho, isnt there? On jericho turnpike next to the Howard JOhnsons hotel.

Nope there are none on Long Island!

There was a little italian cafe by my job that had some really good lunch dishes.
I used to get Penne & Grilled chicken Fra Diavlo (with the spicy sauce).
Then they closed down.
I miss it!
DUH: Forgot to say the name. It was called Cafe Bon Giorno.

Then we have met in our life because I was there ALL the time! I used to eat there daily when I cought the atlantique ferry home from my job.

Okey Dokeys
Yes i know there is the one in Patchogue but the one in Hauppauge was sooo much better
Ground Round where you got peanuts and popcorn and could throw the peanut shells on the floor
And snoopy gave you a cheesy gift

YUP
about a year ago it closed and now it is a Commerce Bank
I"m upset that it closed b/c that's where DH and I went for happy hour with people from work (we started off the night as just friends a nd coworkers) and hit it off. We had so much fun together that we left, went to the beach and to dinner and then didn't get home until 1am. We were inseperable since. Not the most romantic place to have as "our" place but it's better than the bank lobby!
They just built the bank this past year.

That's what I was gonna say. When the Ground Round changed and stopped giving the baskets of popcorn and played old cartoons, that was when I stopped going. Well, that's when mom stopped bringing me there

That's what I was gonna say. When the Ground Round changed and stopped giving the baskets of popcorn and played old cartoons, that was when I stopped going. Well, that's when mom stopped bringing me there
I used to love the "old" Ground Round. We used to go a lot on Tuesday nights for "Kids Pay What They Weigh". Of course we were little so it was under a buck for all our meals! And there was the big screen with Mighty Mouse playing.
