my progesterone is elevated-ivf may be cancelled UPDATE 5pm
So the voicemail I got was that Dr. K is concerned b/c my progesterone has been elevated the last couple of days. I guess its 4.9 which doesn't seem really elevated to me but I guess it is. I have to go in the morning and return after 11 for a sono with Dr. K that stinks- to go there 2x in 1 day. But I am upset b/c I feel like my cycle was going so well and now its falling apart.
UPDATE I spoke to the nurse. Dr. K says that level is too high for where I am supposed to be in this cycle. He is going to send my progesterone to another lab. If the level is accurate, my cycle will likely be cancelled. Please pray for me I seriously do not know if I can deal with this. I have been on 6 injects a day and I went through this last month. I am totally beside myself.
UPDATE 5pm
Dr K called me himself, I feel like thate even worse. He never calls himself to say: everythings going great, it means bad news when he calls. So he says he has never seen someone have elevated progesterone on QID lupron. He says there is no q I am doing the shots right but he is preplexed about my progesterone. He wants to see what my lining looks like tomorrow. If it looks good the best I can hope for is to make it to retrieval and then do a frozen transfer later. IF by some chance there is a lab error we can proceed as planned.  Please pray by some miracle there is an error and my progesterone is actually lower. If my lining is shredding I will just be cancelled.

They would cancel everything. I am just devastated right now. I cannot even begin to accept this is getting cancelled. I am sure its not a lab error. I don't know why this is happening to me. I am so upset. I am hoping that he will let me take ganerlix or something I just have a couple more days. I cannot believe this.

No progesterone. He says it means my body is getting ready to ovulate and it shouldn't be. Its too early for it to rise.

Wouldn't your progesterone rise after ovulation, not when your body is gearing up for it?

Hmmm, I never heard of them testing p4 at this time in a cycle...usally after tx...
They test LH which is an ovulation indicator...

Darn it!!!! This is crazy. Amanda I'm so sorry. Everything was going great. I don't understand this at all. I will be praying that that lab royally screwed up...its happened before....

I agree with Lisa...I also never heard of them testing P4 before Tx...only FSH, E2 and LH...very weird...I didn't think it mattered....
I am sorry this is happening to you....I would call the doctor and ask for more detailed explanation....

I see dr. K at LI-IVF as well, and I get my blood results every day that I'm monitored and they've checked my progesterone every time as well. They test your estrodial, FSH, LH, and progesterone.
sorry you have to go through this Amanda!! I'm hoping it's a lab error!!!
