My Grandpa Died Yesterday
He broke his hip a few weeks ago, had it replaced and went to rehab. My mom and her sisters moved both my grandparents to assisted living and his first night there (last Tuesday) he tripped in the middle of the night while walking to bathroom and went crashing into the closet resulting in a major head injury. He never recovered. I was at the hospital yesteday with my family and we literally watched him die.  He stopped breathing at 4pm. I feel so bad for my grandma. They were married 63 years!!

I feel your pain. My grandma died 2 weeks ago - she was in the hospital being monitored for congestive heart failure and never made it home again. I thankfully went to visit her with DD that Tuesday...a little while after we left she took a turn for the worse and never recovered.

Thank you everyone. He was cremated and his memorial service was last week at Calverton.
