My first "official" post on parenting - and I need some good thoughts
I didn't even get a chance to formally introduce myself on this side, and already I need some prayers  .
Baby Rachel was hospitalized yesterday after only being home for 24 hours.
The blood incompatability issue which they treated after I delivered (I am O+, she is B+) was not totally solved, and her ped didn't like the way she looked at her checkup yesterday morning. They sent us to Good Sam for a quick test, it came back not too good, so they sent us to the ER yesterday afternoon. They tested her again, and her levels looked even worse, so they admitted her.
No idea yet when she is coming home. I have never been through something so hard in my life, makes all the other crap seem so insignificant.
I look forward to chatting with everyone soon about all the good mommy stuff!!

I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering when your exact due date was!
Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl ! Welcome baby Rachel !
Im sorry to hear she's not home yet. Im sure it's very hard, but try to rest assured that she's in good hands, and she'll be in mommy's arms really soon.

My DD and I are 2 different blood types too - and they had to do some much blood work on her when she was born
so I so know that feeling 
I am sure she will be fine, she is in great hands
And we are here if you need to talk

no - is that for the Rh factor? They said the only way to have known this ahead of time would have been for me to have an amino - at which point they would have realized I am O+ and she is B+ (plus a positive coombes (sp?) test) that there would be an issue.

Ohh I thought you were O- (that's what I am and had Rhogam). I had no idea that a + and + could create a blood issue. I hope she comes home soon
