MrsTeachMe's IUI Journal- Updated 2/26
I know many post IVF journals, but I thought an IUI journal might also be helpful. Hope no one minds! BFPs to all!
Brief History: Unexplained IF, first IUI Oct. 2009 - BFN, elevated FSH, elevated NK cells, TTC for over 1.5 years with no BFP.
Medicated IUI
12/09: Possible cyst, put on BC for 14 days. At follow-up, told to finish BC.
1/10: Cyst turns out to be a polyp. Continue with BC.
1/6/10: Hysterscopy/Polypectomy.
1/13/10: All clear in the sono. Told to finish last BC pill tomorrow and meds start on Monday.
1/16/10: Got AF....boooo!
1/18/10: Started Prednisone, Letrazole, and baby aspirin! Skipping intralipids!
1/20/10: Round #4 of acupuncture.
1/25/10: Follie check. Two on the right, but still not mature. Maybe Wednesday!
1/27/10: Follie check...all ready! Had acupuncture, ovidrel at 7pm, and Lovenox begins tonight also.
1/28/10: First round of IUI this morning! I had some cramping, but I expect more tomorrow. Had a smiley on the OPK and acupuncture. Still on prednisone, baby aspirin, and lovenox!
1/29/10: Second round of IUI this morning! My back is achy, and I had ovulation pains most of the day. The 2WW begins! I also have to add progesterone supp. to the mix.
2/7/10: I think I am 9DPO and took a Aimstrip pregnancy test, with a BFN.
2/8/10: Took another Aimstrip test this morning, and a faint line appeared....hmmmm. Tested later today with First Response and the faint line is a little darker so I "think" it's a BFP ! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
2/9/10: Took a Clearblue Digital test and "pregnant" appeared. Went for a beta this morning but have not been called about the numbers yet...found out it was 48/75!
2/11/10: After anxiously awaiting, I finally got the news that my numbers look good (although I don't know what they are). I have another beta tomorrow morning, need to take more prednisone (20mg twice a day...not sure if I like this), have to take calcium supplements, and will be doing intralipids this weekend. It's all worth it!!
2/12/10: Beta: 108, Progestrone: 75! I was told those are good numbers!
2/13/10: Intralipids were administered! There was an issue regarding the soybean content, so hopefully I won't get sick!
2/18/10: Beta #3 is 670!! Sono next week!
2/26/10: First sono and at 6 weeks, I saw the little heartbeat!! I cannot explain how I feel, but I wish you all the best! Thank you so much for all your words of encouragement and support!

Thank you for posting an IUI journal....I've been on an IUI journey keeping a Journal in excel.
I'm sorry the first one was BFN, hopefully the next ones only brings BFP!!!
