Mother's Day Question (lol I know I am a little behind)
My post of NFR about the birthday gift got me thinking.
Did your mom give you a mother's day card?
As I think back to all the things that my mom does that hurts me, I realized the past 2 mother's days (my 1st and 2nd) she never sent me a card and the same goes for father's day for my DH.
Yet, my MIL sent us both cards.
So back to the original question:
Did you get a card?
and
Would it bother you if you didn't?

MIL gave me a card and gift, but my mom didn't give me either. It really doesn't bother, after all, I'm not her mom and I get her a gift and card.

I feel weird when my Mom gets me a Mothers Day card. She is not my Mom, but it's a nice gesture to acknowledge me as a Mom too

ETA Joey was born 3 days before Mother's Day this year, so the fact that it was my first one may have had something to do with it lol.

My mom and dad gave me a card and gift along with both my sisters who are not parents.. (just aunts, godparents). My mom also gets a gift/card for DH on father's day.. I guess we are very gift-ey people also..
I don't think my MIL gave me anything for Mother's day or DH anything for fathers... but she has 9 kids.. if she started doing things for holidays like that, she'd be broke

My mom gave me a really nice 1st mothers day card with some scratch off lotto tickets in it. She did the same for DH for fathers day.

I received a mother's day card from my mom and my mil. But when I was pg my mom did not give me a mom to be card or any present but my mom gave my DH a father to be card and a present?
