moms who found out gender of baby before birth ?

if your planning on more do you want to know gender on next child too? I dont want to.. i feel like i need to wait and hear "its a boy or its a girl" in the delivery room. I just know its something that will bother me forever if i dont. You know what i mean or am i just nuts?

Yup, I will definitely find out. That way I wil know if I need to shop for boy clothes or just add some to DD's girl clothes. Plus, I want to decorate the nursery accordingly again too.

ETA: No, you're not nuts. Whatever you want. It would be nice to experience it both ways if you do that.

I found out with both DC. I need to plan - just my nature!! I sometimes WISH I had the ability to wait for it to be a surprise, but I don't and I'm ok with that too

I didn't find out with my first child and although the 9 months were torture, that moment when we first found out what our baby was was the best feeling ever! With #2, we found out at our Level II that it was a girl and we were just as excited.. but it was def diff. we do plan on finding out with this one. I think the anticipation will kill me. LOL

I found out with 1st and found out with the 2nd.

I had too, i'm wayyy too much a planner and i hate surprises!

I admire parents who can wait, sometimes i wish i could have, but there's no way i could.

I didn't find out for my first one. I'm finding out for #2 and feel very excited to know. Its more for logistics that I want to find out this time, so I can plan the delta of items I need between #1 and #2.

you're not nuts. but, with intention, i found out my baby's gender. and will for future pregnancies. i'm sure it's because i love to shop. and knowing the gender will narrow my search for more clothes, shoes, socks, etx!

I found out for #1 and will find out for #2. It is a surpise if you hear it at 20 weeks or 40 weeks.

Definitely-it was just as big a surprise at 20 weeks as it would be later on.

another planner here! I found out with both ds's. Maybe if I had one of each (and clothes and extras to go for either gender) I would wait for the third.

We found out with # 1 but we won’t with # 2. I’m the type who second guesses a lot of things and I never fully believed that I was having a girl when I was told at 20 weeks. We purchased all gender neutral car seat, stroller, etc but I would’ve anyway. The girl things I did purchase (bedding, etc), I kept the tags on just in case.

My DH couldn’t stand the suspense and that’s why we found out the first time. The second time, I’ll make him wait. If we have a boy, we have a few gender neutral clothes and bedding items to hold us over until I can go crazy on boy stuff.

I feel exactly the same! We're not finding out with the 2nd baby!

We found out with both DC. Many reasons for us. First and foremost: we don't really like green or yellow (no offense, ... )

We figure that we're going to have a lifetime of surprises, we didn't need to rely on this one thing being a surprise.

We have a hard time coming up with names. By knowing the gender, it cuts the list in half.

We found it easier to bind with the baby-to-be. Giving it a gender made it more "real" for us. "She" was kicking, instead of "It".

If I WERE to have another, part of me doesn't want to find out until that day either. BUT I don't know if I have the patience.

I found out with both DC's. I have no patience and wanted to be able to refer to her/him that way. The surprise to me is what they will look like - the gender...surprise at 20 weeks or 40 weeks...I chose 20 weeks.
