Moms Made a Commitment through July: Day 4 updates start page 3

to improve yourself. Similar to hot holiday moms...but it's for Independence Day. Celebrate what you can do.

Whether it be to lose some weight, become more healthy, improve your relationship, not gossip, whatever it is post it & stick to it.

For me,

I'm going to give up Chai (says the woman with a Starbucks cup on her desk) until July 4th & then I'll see how it goes after that.

I'm also going to do some form of excercise at least twice a week (hear that Lorimarie?!)

and along the lines of my Husband Experiment... will make lunch for DH at least 3x a week so he's healthier too.

eta.

Clean 1 room every other night so my weekends aren't jammed with cleaning.

Who's in?

Re: Moms Made a Commitment through July

I'm in though I don't know if there's much more I can do - I walk an hour and a half 6 days a week, I've been really good with WW for the last 3 months, in therapy to help myself and my relationship with DH... I feel good Chat Icon

I guess the one thing I can commit to is finding ways to STOP obsessing about my issues with IF, and instead, focus on the fact that I'm already blessed with one amazing little rascal Chat Icon

Re: Moms Made a Commitment through July

I am so in!! I definitely NEED to lose 10 lbs (really I'd like to lose 20, but don't think I can do that.) So, in order to do lose, I need to eat better, start exercising - walk with Lily at least 4 days a week, get a workout DVD or join a gym, but we're hoping to move very soon, so a gym doesn't really make sense.

I also want to get more on top of our apartment - get rid of the clutter, have a better cleaning schedule.

Already 8 days into the South Beach Diet. Lost 5 lbs and will continue it until I lose the needed 30. So much healthier eating, and my family is too now because of it....

Will also exercise more!

Re: Moms Made a Commitment through July

I'm all in. I am committed to giving up fruit juice, fruit punch and any sweetened beverages. I forget that just a few big glasses of lemonade can really add up the calories without giving much in the way of nutritional value and without filling you up.

I am committed to getting on my elliptical A MINIMUM of 3 times a week. Even if it is only 15 minutes a day. It may not be a lot of movement - but it's an improvement!

I am committed to putting even a nominal effort into myself everyday. Maybe not full spackled on make up and done up hair - but a little gloss, some moisturizer or a smooth and well kept pony instead of the frizzy, half up/half out mess I have on many days.

And for Rob? Well I already give him and the boys 200% - but I think giving myself some of that love and care will be exactly what he wants to see.

I'm in. I don't post on here much but this is def something I am totally into.

Ever since we got the Wii Fit I've been so active. I have been working out everyday. Lost 5lbs already. I want to keep it up and lose 15lbs. I do the Wii Fit in the evening. I usually go on walks and runs during the day.

We are TTC and I am hoping dropping some weight will help us.
