Moms- Did you use an Electronic or Microwave Sterilizer for your bottles?

Does it make a difference?
I am registering for both, but I am wondering if the electric is a waste of $$?

I originally had the electric but returned it and just got the microwave one. I only use it for the first use of a bottle and then never again.

I got the Avent microwave one, and only used it once. I don't really think the sterilizers are necessary.

I used the Avent microwave sterilizer for the first 3 months with both kids. I loved it-it was so easy to use!

I used the micro one a few times and then realized it saved so much time with all the bottles you go through to use the dishwasher instead. It sterelized them, dried them and washed them for me! Such a time saver!

I am probably in the minority here, but I use the one that you put on the stove and boil water in. I sterilize before every use.

I have the Dr. Browns microwave sterilizer and use it multiple times a day - I love it.

I never used a steralizer - we use the playtex drop-ins, so the bottles don't get dirty, you just change the liner. I run the nipples through the dishwasher or hand wash.

I couldn't see the point of a steralizer if you had to wash them first anyway Chat Icon

I have the Dr. Brown's Microwave. I use that and run the dishwasher w/the baskets. I have even boiled a pot of water and threw all the bottles in.

Sometimes washing all those bottles is so monotonous... I like to change it up a bit.Chat Icon

You definitely don't need both. I love the microwave one. I don't use as often anymore, but it's much more convenient than boiling water.
