Miller Place/Sound Beach/ Mt. Sinai/ and sorrounding area Moms...Need help
with a few things. I was hoping that maybe some of you could answer a few questions...
Can anyone recommend a pediatrician and Group in the area?
What library offers programs for toddlers?
The best parks to visit?
Any formal playgroups like My Gym or Gymboreee?
Must go to take out places and restaurants?
Any other help would be much appreciated!

I can really only answer a few of these...
We use Mid-Suffolk Pediatrics, they're in Mt. Sinai. We've seen a few docs there, they're a large practice. We really like Dr. Hofilena.
The newer park on 25A in Mt. Sinai (at the corner of North Ocean Ave--aka Route 83) is really nice for walking and they have 2 new playgrounds (1 for older kids and one for younger kids). The only bummer with this park is there are NO trees so it gets blaring sun in the summer and it gets HOT! Hopefully they'll plant some soon!
Best pizza in the area, IMO, is Amici Express, right in Mt. Sinai by Dairy Barn...in that same plaza is Senor Taco, they're pretty good. Another great Mexican restaurant is Don Quijote, right by Napper Tandy's in Miller Place.
That's all I can help with I think. You'll love the area, it's really nice!

well, i live in the area but my pediatrician is patchogue... my good friend uses a woman doctor in miller place that she LOVES!!! starts with an M.. i can find out for you.
not sure of the librarys... each town would have a different library.
the new park on the corner of 83 and 25a is so nice.. we go there all the time
My Gym is not too far in Stonybrook.. Gymboree is a little further in St. James.. there's also a Mommy and me in Rocky point and a music lyrics class in miller place
there's a TON of restaurants.. are you talking about adult restaurants or kid friendly ones?? Everyone loves Phils for a casual atmosphere... we have all the chains.. Applebees, friendlys, mcdonanalds.. there's soooo many..
it's a beautiful area.. we are very happy there.. .if i can help you with anything else let me know!
