I didn't try that one but the hoop dee doo revue is terrible! worst food ever and you get eaten alive waiting outside before the show so don't go to that one
check mousesavers.com, allears.net and wdwinfo.com and see what they have to say about it. they usually have current reviews

I am a lover of all things Disney (and I LOVE the Hoop Dee Doo!  ) but I thought Mickey's BBQ was an enormous waste of time. The food was awful and it was too crowded to be comfortable or enjoyable.
The characters are in and out throught the entire BBQ (they can't stay in the costimes for long periods of time in the heat so they switch off who's there and who's not) so it's a good photo op, but the characters breakfasts are even better, AND, if timed right get you into the parks before they open.

I agree about the Hoop Dee Do. I didnt care for the food at all and the show was ok. It was ok to see it once but dont think id like it aghain.
