POLL: When should we have a Backyard BBQ?
DS' first birthday is on May 8, which is a Thursday. I want to save $ and have a BBQ in our backyard.
I want it on a Sunday, I would prefer not the Sunday after his b-day, as that is Mother's Day.
So.....
Should should I suck it up and do May 11 (Mothers Day), May 18 or May 25 (Memorial Day)???
Also afraid May 11 will be too chilly yet.

I would say the 18th or the 25th, although some people may go away for Memorial Day weekend it will probably be fairly nice.

I'd say the 18th.
A lot of people like to spend mother's day with family. Memorial day can be hectic for some people.

I'm in the same boat. My kids b-day's are May 6th and May 9th. Our anniversary is the 11th. I'd go with the 18th.
Speaking from experience (we always do home parties for thier b-days), it is still chillly... One year it was warm enough, other other years rainy and cold. The later you hold off, the better.

I say 18th, that way people come, if you do memorial day weekend some may not beable to come --people go away.

I would have it on the 18th. This way it's not really interfering with Mother's Day or Memorial Day.
