Meredith and McDreamy...
The new faces of NY&Co.!

Dear Associates:
I am excited to share with you our newest celebrity spokespersons to be featured in our upcoming Fall 2006
marketing. Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey, better known as Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd of
Grey's Anatomy, will be the faces of our fall marketing media, including our magazine ads which begin
hitting newsstands at the end of August.
Grey’s Anatomy is one of the highest rated shows on TV right now, and is especially popular with our core
demographic. Our customer is invested in popular culture and current trends. She can relate to Ellen and
Patrick’s characters, and aspires to possess their glamour and sophistication. This is the first time we have
used a male in an advertising campaign, and we believe that Patrick’s popularity will appeal to a broad
range of our customers.
The campaign was shot on location in East Hampton in May of this year, and showcases our fall line. Ellen
posed in 16 outfits including our signature perfect fit pants and a range of tailored tops as well as ‘80sinfluenced
long-waisted sweaters. Ellen and Patrick had great chemistry on the shoot which is evident in
the pictures. The only downside to the shoot was that neither Ellen nor Patrick would give any hint about
what's coming up next season!
