Maybe off topic but wanted to ask you gals..

So an eBay seller had a great deal on the books "what to expect when expecting" "your pregnancy week by week" and "what to expect: the toddler years"

DH and I just started TTC and we know it may take a while but do you think it's bad if I bought those books now even though we aren't there yet?

Not at all. I have no children yet and we're TTC however, I have a gazillion pregnancy, TTC, and child care books. I like to be prepared and know what to expect. If that's not bad enough I've had a "baby box" since I was like 22 (I'm 32 now) and I add cute little outfits, stuffed animals, toys, etc. that I've come across over the years for the day when I do have finally have a baby. Talk about crazy!!!! LOLOLOL
Anyway, buy them and enjoy....that's just my 2 cents!!

I just bought a baby name book today.......

I also bought a changing table and a bassinet I could't help myself they were a great price.

I like to be prepared so say get them.

not a bad idea at all! THis reminds me of the book I just finished....The Secret.
In this book, it says that if you "really expect that something is going to happen, and really prepare for it....it will happen!"
The book gave an example of a woman who wanted nothing more than to find her life partner. So, she bought a double bed, cleared out one of her closets, made room for her future lover's car in the garage......etc.
Did everything that sounds NUTS to "expect" that it would happen. Well, it did!
Same goes for TTC......if you expect on it and plan for it, you'll naturally make it happen.

Thanks ladies! Makes me feel much better to know I'm not the only crazy out there! I went and bought them and am soooo excited for them to come now!!

Yes... you should buy all the books you want on pregnancy! I just started reading what to expect when you are expecting too and I find it has a lot of info on ttc and preparing your body BEFORE pregnancy!

It is funny you say that. I have pregnancy books from both my SIL's & my mom gave me the one she used when she was pregnant with. Since you are TTC, I think it is good to be prepared for the upcoming adventure when the time comes.

I'm not anywhere ready to start concieving and I already bought these books when I came across them at a booksale.

I am definitely on the superstitious side so I am not buying anything that seems like counting chickens (or babies) before they hatch.
