**Long Overdue** I'm a MOMMY with PICS of Shane William!!!!!
Hi Ladies,
Disclaimer: Kinda long since I need to catch everyone up, but pics at the end! 
So, it's been one month today (I can't believe he's one month old already ) but I'm finally back to posting and wanted to introduce my little angel, Shane William. Shane was born on Feb 16th at 9:55 pm. He was 8 lbs, 12 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. I went in for an induction on the 15th at 6 pm and was given Cervadil. By the next morning when they took it out I was only 3 cm dilated and he was still way up high (-3). They broke my water and gave me Pitocin which sped up my dilation but he was still was not dropping quick enough. My contractions were getting closer and closer together and more and more painful, and try as I soooo wanted to to go without an epidural, I just couldn't take the pain. The epidural helped greatly and I got to rest. But then Shane started having a bad reaction to my contractions and his heart rate was dropping greatly during each contraction so I had to be put on oxygen for the rest of the day.
At about 7 pm I was fully dilated, he had dropped and I was ready to push...unfortunately he just did not want to come out. I pushed for close to 3 hours and the dr said I was pushing totally great but he was just stuck. She said he/I made great progress in the first hour of pushing but then he just got stuck and wouldn't move out anymore. Now with him being stuck and his heart rate dropping again we decided that a c-section was the best thing so at 9:55 pm they yanked him out. He had a little trouble in the beginning and took a little while longer than normal to get his "color" that the dr was happy with, but he came through like a champ and all was well a short time later. For anyone delivering at NYP/Cornell, you will not be disappointed! The nursing staff there is wonderful and I felt so taken care of!!!
He took to BFing like a rockstar at first but lately we're having some issues. Actually, I am. I developed mastitis so i got antibiotics...I nursed through it and it went away but now it's back and I'm in pretty bad pain. But I'm still trying to nurse through it again. He's a VERY VERY gassy baby so the whole feeding/burping process takes forever...it's exhausting I won't lie....which is why it's taken so long for me to get on here....I just can't seem to find the time because once I have a minute I pass out myself. He's more awake and alert now so he's starting to amuse himself in his bouncer so I hope to be on more again. I miss posting and I feel like I missed so many births already and I need to catch up. Other than that, Shane is a blessing and he's adorable and DH and I are so in love. Thanks for reading if you've made it this far....and here's some pictures!!!!
