Local activities for our family's "vacation" week
We were going to go away this weekend, (well, Sunday thru some of next week), but it didn't work out. So I want to surprise DH with some plans for local activities! So far I think we could go to Atlantis in Riverhead, and go over to Fire Island to go to the beach for the day.
Our DC are 5 and almost 3 years old.
I am open to suggestions! Any ideas?

Check out the Family Fun Day thread pinned at the top for ideas. Also, Fieldstation Dinosaurs would be great for that age. You could also go to NYC for the day.

Local activities for our family's
Maybe a vineyard? I'm not sure which but some are supposed to be very family friendly. You could hit up a farmstand out there and pick up a pie from Breyermier too.
The bronx zoo, the Bayard Cutting Arboretum, splish splash, adventureland or country fair.
