Let Me introduce you to.....
Charlie.
We adopted him from NSAL like a month ago. He is a 3 moth old daschund-beagle mix. He's been fighting kennel cough though. And my parents are keeping him for a little until he gets bigger and better so him and Sammy can spend more time together. We visit all the time but I can't wait to bring him home!! OMG he is adorable!! Scout had kennel cough too -- it stinks doesn't it?? Just make sure he takes ALL his meds..!!

What a cutie!! So adorable!!
and i know how you feel about kennel cough... my puppy jedi has it and it's awful! Every time he coughs, it makes me nervous!!! But the good news is that it gets better. Jedi will only cough maybe once a day now instead of every 10 minutes!

 They said that there wasn't anything they could give him and the poor guy looked like he was in pain every time he coughed! Now i'm mad!!!

OMG CHANGE VETS!!!!!
Scout had to take a VERY strong medication that can be FATAL to humans. I was not allowed to TOUCH it. DH had to wear plastic gloves to touch it. I can't remember what it is called but there are a ton of strains of kennel cough and they really have to kick the crap out of it.
I would DEFINITELY get a second opinion!! Puppy is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS (as I guess you know) for a period AFTER the cough is gone.
