Kitchen Reno Complete
Aaaand its done! The backsplash was finally installed yesterday. I am SO happy with how it all came out and to be done with the reno. It was a big job, down to the studs, new floors etc. We made the opening to the DR larger and moved the sink. And added a bar which is DH's favorite part! Here a few final pics:

Love it all! Where did you get your light fixtures?
Cabinets, light fixtures, hardware and faucet were all from Lowes. The lights were in-stock too!

Thanks everyone. We were nervous about putting the table "into" the island but it was the only configuration that worked since I took out a window from the breakfast nook and put in french doors instead. And it works out perfectly.

Love it!! and very similar to what we will be doing. What kind of granite did you go with? Is that bianco antico? what appliances did you go with? Is that a marvel wine fridge?

that's actually the part I like about it ! The table built into the island ....but kind of off on it's own as a table. I hope you don't mind I'm saving that pic in my kitchen ideas folder - 
next year..........can't wait, and dreading it at the same time!

You should see the before pics. We had a dumb U-shaped kitchen with a teeny island before!

Thanks! Good eye - it is bianco antico on the island. For the perimeter, we went with a quartz in "Spanish Moss" to pick up the brown tones in the granite.
As for the fridge, its a Haier. And the appliances are kitchen aid. So far very happy with all of it.
