Kinda spinoff to the post stalker post: Do you feel that some people on here are just Debbie Downers?
I am all about venting. . and I vent too. . .but I find some people vent ALL the time. (like I am doing right now LOL) Sometimes, when I see them post I open it up and say "what now?" Initially I feel bad for these people . . . but then .. .its kinda sad to see how they portray life!

LOL yes...but we all need to vent once in a while. I do hate when ppl complain about the same thing over and over again. Fix the situation or accept it and move on.
The people that must take the opposite opinion of EVERYTHING ever posted annoy me more.

Some people here, yes, and IRL, too. There are just some people who thrive on negativity and I try to stay away from it.

That's the majority of my fb wall statuses. I see how annoying this is to me so I make a point not to vent on fb and only post positive things!

Fortunately, I think I seem to miss a lot of these posters on LIF.
I do notice it on other message boards I am part of though. One in particular.
That attracts a special kind of crazy. And you can totally tell that everything wrong in their life is due to self-sabotage.
It's probably horrible for me to say this as a social worker, but I think there are just some people out there who just do not want to do anything to make their life better, except complain or blame other people.
I guess that's all they feel they can control in their life.
I get that depression can be really bad at times, but sometimes you need to step away from the computer.
Related to that, I think there are also posters out there who use message boards for the intent of "help" when they really should be in some kind of treatment somewhere.

without question. there's one in particular where everything is "woe is me" and i just don't get it.
it's fine to vent, we all do it. but some people are complete downers about everything.

doesn't bother me, I do it too, most times if I post on FHF or parenting it's either to reply to someone's post OR vent/complain about something or share something , it's bc I seek advice, suggestions,opinions, kind words not bc I need attention from LIF people, lol .
I post on celebrity or fashion for different reasons....
My feeling is if you/I don't want to read/reply to a "Debbie downer" post then don't 
and maybe some people post on LIF just for that reason, to vent and to complain, bc that's their only outlet and not bc they are negative IRL...

We all need to vent from time to time, but there are a couple of repeat offenders.

No one really sticks out for me on this site- but I feel like there are SO many people here so it'd be hard to pinpoint one.
FB is another story- but I tend to hide those people who seem to update their status all day and/or complain.

i guess i dont really notice because i dont really know a lot of ppl on here so i dont know who's who. but on FB ppl are always posting debbie downer statuses. that hide option is brilliant!!

Yes, there are a certain posters that I see posting and  I know it's only going to be a "venting" post.
Some people I guess just need an outlet to vent to, maybe they don't have someone IRL to vent to, and doing so to a bunch of strangers is easier.
There are posters that are always a vicitm of their own life...kwim?
